Bus Rental in Udaipur

Bus Rental in Udaipur: Mini Buses and Coaches on Rent

Once a group passes about seventeen people, splitting it across cars stops making sense – you lose the group, you multiply the parking problem, and the cost per head goes up rather than down. Bus rental in Udaipur solves it: one vehicle, one driver, everybody arriving together.

We have run group transport in Udaipur since 2009, with our own mini buses and coaches rather than a broker’s list – which matters most on the morning something breaks down and a replacement has to come from somewhere.

The Fleet

Vehicle Seats Best for
AC Tempo Traveller 9, 12, 14, 17 Family groups and friends – below bus size
Force Urbania 10–17 Premium 1×1 pushback seating, individual AC vents, charging points
Mini bus 21, 25, 27 School and college trips, wedding guest shuttles, small corporate groups
Large bus 35, 42, 45 Conferences, pilgrimage parties, wedding movements, long-distance tours
AC coach / Volvo 42–45 Air-suspension and premium AC coaches with reclining seats for long drives

Groups of fewer than eighteen are usually better served by a tempo traveller in Udaipur or a Force Urbania – cheaper, more manoeuvrable, and able to reach places a coach cannot. We will tell you if that is the better answer for your group rather than selling you a bigger vehicle.

What We Use Buses For

Weddings. Udaipur handles a large share of India’s destination weddings, and guest transport is usually the part nobody plans until late. We run shuttles between hotels and venues across several days, with a schedule rather than a scramble, and decorated cars for the couple alongside.

Conferences and corporate groups. Airport arrivals staged across a day, venue transfers, and a single coordinator holding the manifest instead of forty people calling forty drivers.

School and college trips. Mini buses for educational tours around Udaipur and Rajasthan, with experienced drivers who do this run regularly.

Pilgrimage groups. Nathdwara, Eklingji, Rishabhadev, Ranakpur and the longer temple circuits, where a bus keeps the group together and the costs predictable.

Tour parties. Multi-day Rajasthan routes – Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Jaipur – with the same coach and driver throughout.

Where a Big Bus Cannot Go

This is the part most operators leave out, and it is the thing most likely to spoil a group itinerary. Larger coaches have real access limits around Udaipur:

Destination Access for a 35–45 seater
Udaipur old city – Jagdish Temple, Gangaur Ghat No. Lanes are too narrow. We drop at the nearest accessible point and you walk in
City Palace and Lake Pichola jetty Restricted parking; drop and collect rather than wait at the gate
Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace) No. The hill road is unsuitable – transfer to smaller vehicles
Kumbhalgarh Fort Difficult. The final hill section suits a mini bus or Tempo Traveller better
Ranakpur Accessible, with coach parking
Nathdwara Accessible, though parking fills during festivals
Jaisalmer Fort area No. Coaches park below and the group walks up
Sam / Khuri desert dunes Coach to the edge, then jeeps for the dunes themselves
Mount Abu The ghat road is manageable for coaches but slow

For an itinerary that includes Sajjangarh, the old city or Kumbhalgarh, the sensible answer for a large group is a coach for the long legs plus smaller vehicles for those specific stops. We will build the plan that way rather than discover the problem on the day.

Rates and What They Cover

Mini bus and coach hire is quoted per booking rather than on a published per-kilometre rate, because the figure depends on the seat count, the route, the number of days, whether night halts are involved and the season. Call +91 86193 15547 or send your itinerary and we will come back with a price.

Included in a quote: fuel, driver allowance, state tax and toll.
Not included: parking, monument entry fees, and extra night halts beyond the agreed plan on multi-day trips.
Payment: 25% advance to confirm the vehicle. Balance by cash, UPI or card at the end of the trip.

Routes leaving Rajasthan – into Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh or Delhi – carry a state permit charge for commercial vehicles, which we include in the quote rather than adding at the border.

Peak season is October to March, and the wedding calendar books the large coaches out first. For a wedding or conference, enquire as early as you can – this is the part of our fleet with the least spare capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions: Bus Rental in Udaipur

Seat options, costs, access limits for large coaches and permits.

What size buses can I rent in Udaipur?
Mini buses in 21, 25 and 27 seat configurations, and large buses and AC coaches in 35, 42 and 45 seats, including air-suspension and premium Volvo-type coaches. Below eighteen passengers a Tempo Traveller (9 to 17) or a Force Urbania is usually the better and cheaper choice.
How much does bus rental in Udaipur cost?
Buses and coaches are quoted per booking rather than on a published per-kilometre rate, because the price depends on seat count, route, number of days, night halts and season. Send us the itinerary or call +91 86193 15547 and we will come back with a figure. Fuel, driver allowance, state tax and toll are included; parking, entry fees and extra night halts are not.
Can a 45 seater bus reach all the Udaipur sightseeing spots?
No, and this is worth knowing before you plan. A large coach cannot get into the old city lanes near Jagdish Temple and Gangaur Ghat, cannot manage the hill road to Sajjangarh, and struggles on the final climb to Kumbhalgarh. For an itinerary including those, we run a coach for the long legs and smaller vehicles for the specific stops.
Do you provide buses for destination weddings in Udaipur?
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do here. We run guest shuttles between hotels and venues across several days on a set schedule, with decorated cars for the couple alongside. Give us the venue, the guest count and the programme and we will build the fleet plan.
Can you handle conference and corporate group transport?
Yes – staged airport arrivals across a day, venue transfers, and one coordinator holding the manifest rather than forty people calling forty drivers. Tell us the group size and the dates and we will plan the movement.
Do you rent buses for school and college trips?
Yes. Mini buses in 21, 25 and 27 seats are the usual choice for educational tours around Udaipur and Rajasthan, with drivers who run those routes regularly.
Is there a state permit charge for taking a bus out of Rajasthan?
Yes. Routes into Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi or Uttar Pradesh carry a permit charge for commercial vehicles. We include it in the quote rather than adding it at the border, so the figure you agree is the figure you pay.
Who pays for the driver on a multi-day bus trip?
The driver allowance in our quote covers his food and accommodation on multi-day trips, so you are not asked for it separately and you do not need to arrange a room for him.
How far in advance should I book a bus?
As early as you can for October to March, and especially for wedding and conference dates – the large coaches are the part of our fleet with the least spare capacity and they go first. Outside peak season a couple of weeks is usually enough.
How do I get a bus rental quote?
WhatsApp +91 99838 89373 or email rajasthanonwheeltours@gmail.com with your dates, the number of passengers, the route or venues, and whether you need the vehicle for several days. We reply with the vehicle, the plan and the price, and a 25% advance confirms it.
